The final merit list will be prepared using 80% GATE score and 20% interview marks. To qualify in the interview, UR candidates must score at least 70%, while SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyangjan must score 60%.
Candidates not meeting the interview cut-off will not be considered, regardless of their GATE scores. There’s no written test, but RAC may administer additional tools or tests at its sole discretion. Women, SC/ST, and Divyangjan applicants are exempted. Uploading documents like mark sheets, GATE scorecard, category certificate, photo, and signature is mandatory.
RAC also needs a screenshot of the GATE result login page, which is often missed by applicants. Government/PSU employees must upload an intimation letter or NOC from their department. Temporary employees can submit an undertaking as per RAC’s prescribed format. Any missing doc or unlocked form will lead to auto-rejection by the system. Also, once submitted, no changes can be made. Selected candidates will serve anywhere in India, including remote field locations, under the Group ‘A’ Technical posts with Field Service liability. Posts in encadred units like AFMC or CME are not transferable to DRDO. Pay level is Level-10 (₹56,100 + allowances), with gross monthly pay nearing ₹1,00,000 in metro cities. RAC has cautioned that any false claim in reservation or eligibility may result in immediate termination. So, applicants should cross-check certificates and eligibility carefully before uploading.
